Like many people, I have been dabbling with angel investing recently. Several companies I have invested in (as of 11.27.2021) :

  1. Gilgamesh (engineered psychedelics)

  2. Forcyte bio (mems for mechanical probing of cells)

  3. Bouyant Aero (cargo blimps)

  4. Financial Choice (S&P500 as cash)

  5. Pirouette Medical (better epipen)

  6. Startup working on immunotherapy for allergies

I am interested in funding startups at the earliest stage, especially if they are building something I already believe will eventually exist. Below are a few things like that, if you are thinking of building something like this and have a credible plan (or something else I might be interested in), please contact me on twitter or email me at mikesdoccloud @ gmail . com, Iā€™d be excited to be your first check.

Bitcoin Alibaba

It can be difficult to get bitcoin in china and other countries that have large manufacturing bases. An Alibaba type marketplace that facilitates the sale of bulk manufactured goods in exchange for full or partial payment in Bitcoin and ideally with some anonymity.

Tubes and/or robots for last 100ft delivery

Large apartment complexes, for example, should have tubes that lead from a fully automated micro-warehouse (stocked by a company like Amazon) to each apartment (sort of like a reverse garbage chute). This would be difficult to retrofit, so an easier thing might be a simple robot that is capable of picking up items from the micro-warehouse room and bringing them via elevator to apartments. This would cut delivery time and delivery cost for small items being delivered by companies like GoPuff.

Maybe could eventually move into doing larger and larger distances with more complexity. For example restocking the microwarehouse using robots or tubes.

Thermite Battery

Thermite has very high energy density, so I always thought it might be interesting to build into a battery. Maybe the battery could be refueled with aluminum or copper powder (swapped for the rust waste product) instead of charging electrically.
