Chinese Tea Table # 2
Sequel to Tea Table 1 (link)… Jane and I were visiting her friends and decided to build them a tea table from part of a tree they had cut down. This was a rush build (2-3 days), but surprisingly decent result.
I cut a section of the tree in half longitudinally and joined the two halves to make the table. Unfortunately, I was engrossed and forgot to take pictures until it was halfway done.
Epoxying the gap between the halves
Depression for tea preparation is done, drain hole drilled, more late night sanding
Jane doing some preliminary sanding with 60 grit
Finishing the backside (crevices later filled in with pain brush)
Top done
Base hollowed out and finished
